Welcome to R&R Reflection Stories!
Chloricia Myers also known by many as Recie was born and raised in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, even though she has spent most of her adult life in Virginia with her husband, Roland. She received her B.S. Degree in Elementary Education and Language Arts from Andrews University. Chloricia has spent more than 35 years as a self contained classroom teacher in Boston, Massachusetts, Coloma, Michgan, and Suffolk, Virginia.
Though Chloricia has retired from teaching in the classroom, she is still very much involved with educating the youth, but now as a children’s book author.
Since early childhood, Chloricia always wanted to be a teacher. Not only did she love playing school, but she especially loved telling stories to the younger neighborhood children. Later, when Recie started her own family, she did the same thing with her daughters ... told them stories.
One thing Chloricia dicovered that has remained constant all through the years is that most all children love stories. They especially loved listening to stories of life growing up in the Virgin Islands.
THE STORYTELLER'S SKILLSET
Chloricia is a storyteller with a creative imagination. Her stories are inspired from reflecting on her childhood experiences. These experiences are then woven into the lives of the Inquisitive Island Iguanas.
THE STORYTELLER'S MISSION
Everyone has a story to tell. Some may want to tell their story, but don't quite know where or how to start. Others may be reluctant because of fear or some other unknown reason. Personal stories can do much to help others navigate life's challenges and triumphs.
